2026 Hyundai Palisade Debuts with Bold Redesign and Powerful Hybrid Option
Hyundai has officially unveiled the second-generation 2026 Palisade, showcasing major updates inside and out. While the new 3.5-liter V6 engine delivers slightly less power than the previous 3.8-liter version, the newly introduced hybrid powertrain offers significantly more performance and improved efficiency. First teased in December, the 2026 Palisade has grown in size, now measuring 2.5 inches longer overall and offering 2.7 inches of additional wheelbase. This three-row SUV is set to hit U.S. dealerships later this year, boasting a modern design and two all-new powertrain options. The base engine is a 3.5-liter V6 producing 287 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. While it’s a slight drop from the previous model’s 291 hp and 262 lb-ft, it still offers solid performance with a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds. Both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations are available. New for 2026 is a hybrid system combining a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with dual electric motors integrated into a six-speed automatic transmission. This setup generates 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Hyundai estimates the hybrid Palisade will achieve over 30 mpg on the highway and tow up to 4,000 pounds. Design-wise, Hyundai continues to push boundaries. The 2026 Palisade features a bold, vertical grille framed by striking LED daytime running lights. Despite the SUV’s wide stance, its drag coefficient is a streamlined 0.31, helped by active air shutters in the lower fascia. Inside, the Palisade has received a complete overhaul. A pair of 12.3-inch displays are seamlessly embedded in the dashboard, complemented by physical controls for added convenience. Tech upgrades include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a 15-watt wireless charging pad featuring an integrated fan for faster, cooler charging. The 2026 Hyundai Palisade will be available in 10 exterior paint options and a range of interior trims, including cloth, leatherette, leather, and premium Nappa leather. Notably, it introduces the all-new XRT Pro trim—Hyundai’s first SUV variant with enhanced off-road hardware. Pricing details remain under wraps, but with the 2025 Palisade starting at $38,675, experts expect the new model to remain competitively priced within the midsize SUV segment. The gas-powered models are expected to arrive in early summer, with the hybrid version following in the fall. Read more

It's hard to imagine finding a more comfortable and fully optioned mid-size SUV than the updated 2025 Genesis GV80.
When I get a new test vehicle, I try to get out of the city as fast as humanly possible. Driving in Seattle is miserable; driving near the holiday season when it’s always dark and raining is genuinely worse than the worst snarls Los Angeles has to offer. The paved ring of Dante’s Inferno is a hellish test loop. Unfortunately, I needed to ... Read more

However, it’s sadly all show without any extra go since there aren’t any upgrades to the engine. As its TCR Edition name implies, the sports sedan takes after the touring ... Read more
