ATTENTION! To avoid fraud cases DO NOT make (or send) any payment before seeing the car.
First and foremost rule: do not make any prepayment for the car before inspecting it. Never! No matter how tempting the offer may seem and no matter the answers from the car seller.
This is a fraudulent scheme: you visit a website and see an advertisement with a very attractive price. The seller will tell you a heartbreaking story of an urgent sale over the phone and mention that there is a high demand for the car, and it is about to be sold soon. The inspection location will be mentioned as remote to make you feel that you need to act right away. As a solution to the problem, the fraudulent seller will suggest transferring some amount to him via phone or card, and after that, he will allegedly reserve the car specifically for you.
You should not believe him, and, of course, you should not transfer any money. This is a scam. Most likely, such a car does not exist at all; it is not for sale, and the advertisement is fake. If you hear about a deposit, hang up immediately.
We make sure that such ads are removed from the site, but due to the large flow of cars, they may still appear. If you encounter such a situation, please report the ad. We will be grateful for your assistance.

In the first place, you need to inquire about the current availability of the offer. If the car has already been sold, you can report it on the website. This will reduce such cases.
VIN Code
The VIN code is among the questions to ask when buying a car. With it, you can check the car online: compare the characteristics from the post, study all registrations of the car, and ensure there are no restrictions.
Documents
Make sure to ask the seller to bring the vehicle's technical passport and identity card to the meeting. With these documents, you can understand who is selling the car.
Are You the Owner
It is crucial to ensure that the seller is the owner or has the legal right to sell this car. If he doesn't have this right, usually, it doesn't make sense to go for an inspection. This often helps filter out resellers.
Photos
If you are genuinely interested in the car, you can ask the seller to send more photos, such as close-ups of any flaws or additional equipment. This way, you can learn more about the condition and equipment of the car you like even before an on-site inspection. Asking such questions when buying a car will help you form a more complete picture of it.
Is There a Warranty
Maintenance at an official dealer, a service book, and the presence of a warranty can be good arguments in favor of buying from a private seller.

On this question, it's rarely possible to get an honest answer, especially over the phone. Typically, the response is always negative, and the seller may downplay any painted elements, stating it's just the bumper. However, it's still worth asking, at the very least, to gauge the reaction or, in rare cases, get a truthful response.
