Kia Unveils EV9 Nightfall Edition with Performance Boost and Bold Styling
Kia has introduced a striking new variant of its flagship three-row electric SUV — the 2026 EV9 Nightfall Edition. More than just a cosmetic update, this new trim brings enhanced performance and fresh design elements that elevate the EV9 lineup.

Building on the EV9 Land trim, the Nightfall Edition adds the performance-oriented “Boost” mode previously exclusive to the GT-Line. This feature temporarily increases torque output from 443 lb-ft to an impressive 516 lb-ft, while maintaining the same 379 horsepower. Thanks to this upgrade, the EV9 Nightfall Edition accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds, making it one of the quickest family-friendly EVs in its segment.

The Nightfall Edition lives up to its name with bold gloss-black exterior accents and exclusive 20-inch black wheels. Kia also debuts a new paint color called Roadrider Brown, although it has yet to showcase it in official images. Inside, the Nightfall Edition swaps out the two-tone interior of the standard EV9 Land for a more aggressive all-black cabin, featuring unique seat trim and darkened accents throughout.

In addition to style and performance upgrades, Kia confirmed that all 2026 EV9 models will adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, aligning with the Tesla-style charging ecosystem. For those still using Combined Charging System (CCS) infrastructure, an adapter will be available.
As a reminder, the U.S.-spec EV9 is manufactured at Kia’s plant in Georgia, making it eligible for the $7,500 federal EV tax credit—a key advantage in the competitive electric SUV market.
Pricing for the 2026 EV9 and its Nightfall Edition trim has not yet been announced, but since it’s assembled in the U.S., any cost increase is expected to be modest.
